Hospital Outreach Specialist and Team Bandit Maxwell Svec is making his impossible possible by running the Boston Marathon to support The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Max began working for Camp in 2011 as a videographer during the summer, and what started as a “typical video job” for him turned into something much more.
Superstorm Sandy may have forced the cancellation of last year’s ING New York City Marathon, but for our dedicated Team runners, it only strengthened their resolve to run inspired on behalf of Camp. That couldn’t be more true for camper parent and Team member, Jeremy Goodman.
For the first time ever, athletes participating in the ING Hartford Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5K and Kid’s K can Run Inspired by joining Team Hole in the Wall. Team members not only receive the full support of Team Hole in the Wall staff, but also have the opportunity to raise money to help bring fun and friendship to seriously ill children. All funds raised directly benefit The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which provides 20,000 children and families “a different kind of healing” annually.
Team Member Peter Mason has been Riding Inspired in the Camp Challenge Ride since it began five years ago. As one of the top fundraisers for the event each year, he has made a lasting impact on Camp and continued his family’s long standing legacy. His story is below:
“I started working at The Simon Konover Company eight years ago, which was my first introduction to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Though it was before the Camp Challenge Ride was founded, the company’s roots with Camp are long and deep, and when I heard about the relationship, I knew I wanted to get involved.
